Online stock that updates from the register every morning
A downtown Ventura gift and coffee shop moved its online store onto a site that reads its point-of-sale inventory every morning, sells supplier stock it never has to touch, and sends each dropship order straight to the supplier.

The business problem
The shop sells coffee, gifts and toys from a storefront downtown and online. The online store ran on its own platform, separate from the register, so the website's stock was kept apart from the register's. The owners wanted to stop paying for a system they did not need and wanted the website to carry more than the shop could hold, from wholesalers who ship directly to the customer. Their stock lived in a point-of-sale system with thousands of items, and the suppliers sent their stock and product photos in whatever form each one used.
What we built
We moved the store to WooCommerce on managed WordPress hosting, and it went live on August 13, 2026. Order emails send from the shop's own mailbox, and packing slips print with the item number on every line. Every morning at 6am a scheduled job reads the shop's full point-of-sale inventory, matches it to the products on the website, and updates stock and status. Before it writes anything, it holds back any item that sold online but has not yet been entered at the register, so an online sale is never overwritten. It retries on its own when the hosting connection drops, and it posts one line to our team channel with what changed. For dropship, we brought a home-and-gift wholesaler's catalog onto the store in September: 347 items, with photos matched by item number out of the supplier's 26,185-file image library. Orders for those items email the supplier's dropship desk automatically, and stock updates from the supplier's own sheet. A home-textiles wholesaler followed on October 1 with 93 products, all shipped direct, each order emailed to the supplier's rep.
The Outcome
Store live on WooCommerce on August 13, 2026. Website stock updated from the register every morning at 6am, about 1,880 products matched on each run. Two dropship suppliers listed on the site, 347 items live September 4, 2026 and 93 more on October 1, 2026, with orders routed to each supplier automatically. The owners signed on for a monthly Local Search and Social retainer on August 19, 2026, which is running now. The shop runs one online store whose stock follows its register every morning and whose dropship orders reach the supplier without anyone forwarding them.
