GoHighLevel vs HubSpot

Published October 22, 2026 · Prices checked October 22, 2026

GoHighLevel is the lower-cost, all-in-one choice for small teams and agencies that want texting, calls, email, booking and automation in one flat-priced account. HubSpot is the stronger choice when you need deep CRM reporting, a large integration catalog and a platform a growing sales and marketing team can learn fast.

The price gap is large. GoHighLevel starts at $97 a month with unlimited users and contacts, while HubSpot Marketing Hub Professional is $800 a month on annual billing plus a required $3,000 onboarding fee, as of October 2026.

We set up GoHighLevel and WordPress for established businesses.

What's the difference between GoHighLevel and HubSpot?

The biggest difference is how each one charges.

  • GoHighLevel charges a flat plan ($97, $297 or $497 a month) with unlimited contacts and users, then meters usage: texts, calls, email sends and AI (gohighlevel.com/pricing).
  • HubSpot charges by seat and by marketing-contact tier, and its Professional and Enterprise tiers carry a one-time onboarding fee (hubspot.com/pricing).

The second difference is what's built in. GoHighLevel has its own phone system for texting and calling, with local numbers at $1.15 a month and texts at $0.00747 per segment (Phone System pricing). It also includes a website and funnel builder, calendars, memberships and an agency layer of sub-accounts. HubSpot Sales Hub includes calling minutes by tier (500, 3,000 or 12,000) (Sales Hub pricing).

The third difference is depth. Third-party comparisons give HubSpot the edge on reporting, custom objects and integrations, and give GoHighLevel the edge on price at the middle and upper tiers (Softr, Simular).

Which is cheaper, GoHighLevel or HubSpot?

GoHighLevel is cheaper for a small team. These are the published prices as of October 22, 2026.

Sources: gohighlevel.com/pricing, HubSpot Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, Customer Platform, Free CRM. HubSpot's pricing pages show the Starter and Professional prices with a monthly and annual toggle, and HubSpot's own blog labels Professional at $800 annual and $890 monthly.

A worked example. Take a team of three with 2,000 marketing contacts. On HubSpot Marketing Hub Professional, paid annually, the first year is $800 × 12 + $3,000 onboarding = $12,600. On GoHighLevel Starter paid annually, the plan is $970 for the year, and sending four emails a month to all 2,000 contacts adds 8,000 emails × $0.675 per 1,000 = $5.40 a month in email fees. Texting, calls and AI add more, and we break those down in what GoHighLevel really costs to run.

Contact growth moves the HubSpot number. Professional steps from 2,000 to 5,000, 12,000 and 17,000 marketing contacts, and HubSpot's own example says going to 2,001 contacts adds about $250 a month (HubSpot blog). GoHighLevel doesn't charge by contact.

Which has better automation?

Both have visual workflow builders, and they cap different things. HubSpot Sales Hub allows up to 50 workflows on Starter (with restricted triggers and actions), 300 on Professional and 1,000 on Enterprise, and 15, 100 or 350 pipelines (Sales Hub pricing). GoHighLevel publishes no cap on the number of workflows on the pages we checked, allows up to 600 actions in one workflow (changelog), and charges $0.01 per execution for premium actions.

GoHighLevel's workflows can text, call, email, send review requests and hand off to its AI agents from the same builder. That range comes with setup risk. Settings on calendars and offers send their own emails alongside your workflows, which we cover in GoHighLevel automations.

Which is easier to learn?

HubSpot. In Simular's own onboarding test, setup took about 1.5 hours on HubSpot and about 2.5 hours on GoHighLevel, and Softr rates HubSpot easier to use. G2 reviewers describe GoHighLevel's learning curve as steep (G2).

Which is better for agencies?

GoHighLevel. It's built around an agency account with sub-accounts for each client, rebilling of phone and email costs on the $297 and $497 plans, and SaaS Mode on Agency Pro for reselling under your own brand (gohighlevel.com/pricing). Softr's verdict lines up, with GoHighLevel for agencies and HubSpot for single-brand small businesses and enterprise.

Which is better for an established business?

Third-party rules of thumb point in different directions. The Stack Insiders puts the crossover to HubSpot at about $5 million in annual revenue with a full-time marketing manager, and Builts suggests HubSpot for non-agency teams under 20 people.

We start from the work your team does every day. If the job is fast follow-up by text and email, booking and reminders, and keeping customers coming back, GoHighLevel covers it in one account at a lower price. If the job depends on custom objects, multi-touch attribution or a long list of integrations, HubSpot is built for that.

Can you move from HubSpot to GoHighLevel, or use both?

GoHighLevel's changelog for October 2026 lists a HubSpot import with a filter for choosing which HubSpot records come over. Some HubSpot partners recommend a hybrid with HubSpot as the system of record (IntegrateIQ), which means paying for both. For what GoHighLevel's CRM covers on its own, see Is GoHighLevel a CRM?
